Two Asheville performers will take part in the upcoming South by Southwest music showcase in Austin Tx on March 12-17. Both have new cds out and both are among the most popular local performers; but they are polar opposites in regards to their music. Traveling to Texas will be Malcolm Holcombe and Secret Lives! of the Freemasons.
Asheville musicians looking for a small intimate venue to play, now have another option. Izzy's coffeeshop on Lexington Avenue featured it's first show this past Sunday with Shane Perlowin, Robots vs Villages, and the Hands of Windsor McLain. Read more at Mount Dungeon.
Danielle Tibedo and Cregan Montague continue honing their new sound with the addition of a bass player and drummer. With the new sound and new band comes a new band name. At the present time, they are leaning toward The Electric Pearls, but haven't finalized on a new name as of now.
They hope to record in Asheville, NC this Spring, and have been talking with music producer Rick Clark (Los Super Seven, Death Cab for Cutie), about the possibility of working together on our new album
