SeepeopleS kicks off their Evil Suits tour this Saturday with a hometown concert at the Grey Eagle Music Hall and Tavern. Fans of Seepeoples will be delighted to know that the group is bringing a full blown stage lighting package for the performance and full blown energy to go with it.
Take 5 writer Jaime McKee has a great article about the upcoming show which can be found at http://www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080208/ENT02/80207088/1198
Here are a few excerpts to whet your appetite:
The SeepeopleS had one resolution this year — to put out as much music as they possibly could. Coming off their 2007 release of “Apocalypse Cow Vol. 1,” they’re off to a good start with a tour that starts this week and a studio album in the works.
Expect a production from the SeepeopleS. Their live shows include an extensive light show and video screens. “It’s sort of a family effort,” said Will Bradford. “Our lighting guy is just as much a part of the band. We have an awesome sound engineer who is also a part of the band. It’s a team effort to make the whole show — lights, video, everything — work and not blow the power to the club.”
Follow-up CD
“Apocalypse Cow Vol. 2” has been in the works since August. The band has been recording the follow-up to their 2007 release “Apocalypse Cow Vol. 1” in a Boston studio. While many people viewed the first album to have more of a pop sound, the second CD will have more of an electronic influence.
As the primary songwriter of the SeepeopleS, Will Bradford is also working on a solo record, and fans could possibly see a live record from the band this year. On top of that, there is a SeepeopleS remix project happening with friends of the band doing their own interpretations of the group’s music.
